New API ยท AI assistants
Use Is It AI? inside your AI assistant
Connect once, then ask Claude Code, Cursor or any MCP client "is this image AI-generated?". The assistant runs the check and shows the verdict in the chat.

Every account can create an API key; checks use your credits.
Set it up in a minute
Pick your tool. The same key works for the API and for assistants. Keys last about 90 days: when your key expires, create a new one and update this setting.
Claude Code
- Copy your API key from isitai.com/api-keys.
-
Add Is It AI? to Claude Code, in a terminal:
claude mcp add --transport http isitai https://isitai.com/mcp \ --header "Authorization: Bearer YOUR_API_KEY"
- Ask about an image: "Is https://example.com/launch-poster.png AI-generated?" The assistant asks Is It AI? and answers with the verdict, the confidence and the credits used.
Cursor
- Copy your API key from isitai.com/api-keys.
-
Add this to
.cursor/mcp.jsonin your project, or to~/.cursor/mcp.jsonfor every project:{ "mcpServers": { "isitai": { "url": "https://isitai.com/mcp", "headers": { "Authorization": "Bearer YOUR_API_KEY" } } } } - Restart Cursor, then ask in the chat whether an image link is AI-generated.
Other MCP clients
- Copy your API key from isitai.com/api-keys.
-
Add a remote server with these settings:
- Transport
- Streamable HTTP
- URL
https://isitai.com/mcp- Header
Authorization: Bearer YOUR_API_KEY
- Ask your assistant to check an image or a video for AI.
What it can check
Images and videos
Images: a link, or a small local image, up to 5 MB. Videos: a link to the video file, under 60 s and up to 50 MB.
Face swap check and Content Credentials
Ask for the face swap check when people are in the picture. Signed labels are read on every image check.
Same credits as the website
Every check uses your plan credits first, then bought credits, at the same prices as on the website.
