Getting Started
Is It AI? tells you whether an image or a video was made by AI. For images, we detect 20+ generators with version-level precision (including Midjourney, DALL-E, Stable Diffusion, Flux, Adobe Firefly, Imagen, Ideogram, Nano Banana, and more). For videos, we check one frame every 2 seconds. An optional face swap check looks for swapped or faked faces.
Getting started is easy:
- Try 3 free checks on the AI image detector. No account needed.
- Sign up free for 5 credits every month and a history of your results.
- Need more? Upgrade any time or buy a credit pack.
We support all common image formats including:
- JPEG / JPG
- PNG
- WebP
- GIF (first frame)
Images can be up to 5 MB on the website, 10 MB through the API.
Videos: most MP4 and MOV files of any length (each check covers up to 59 seconds, and for a longer video you pick the part to check). WebM, MKV and AVI files must be shorter than 60 seconds and up to 63 MB. Through the API, a video must be shorter than 60 seconds and up to 50 MB.
Detection & Results
Our detection models achieve 95%+ accuracy across 20+ AI image generators. However, no detection system is 100% accurate. Results should be considered as a strong indicator rather than absolute proof. Detection accuracy can vary based on:
- Image quality and resolution
- The AI model used to generate the image
- Post-processing applied to the image
The confidence score (0-100%) indicates how certain our model is about the detection result:
- 70-100%: High confidence. The result is likely accurate.
- 50-70%: Moderate confidence. Check it another way too.
- Below 50%: Low confidence. The result is uncertain.
In addition to AI detection, we also analyze images for Not Safe For Work (NSFW) content. This helps you identify potentially inappropriate images. The NSFW flag will indicate if mature content is detected.
Yes! You can analyze images in two ways:
- File Upload: Upload an image directly from your device
- URL: Paste a direct link to an image hosted online
Both methods provide the same detection analysis.
Videos work the same way: upload the file, or paste a link to a video file or to a page with a video on it. We can't open links from TikTok, YouTube, Instagram, X or Facebook yet: save the video to your device and upload it.
Yes. Drop a video into the detector, the same one you use for images, or start from the AI video detector page. We check one frame every 2 seconds and score each one, so you see where AI content appears. If any frame is AI-generated, the video is called AI-generated.
A video costs 6 credits per started 10 seconds (12 with the face swap check), and you see the price before the check runs. Every plan can check videos. On the Free plan, the 5 credits a month cover images only, so add a credit pack for a video. Video checks need an account.
No. We send it to our detection service and delete it from our servers once the check is done, usually within minutes. If Save video frames is on, small pictures of the moments we checked stay with that check in your History until you delete them. See our Privacy Policy.
An optional check for photos and clips with people. It asks a different question from the AI check: has someone swapped or faked a real person's face? An image or video can be not AI-generated and still have a swapped face. Turn it on in the detector before a check. It doubles the price: 2 credits for an image, 12 per started 10 seconds of video.
Content Credentials (C2PA) are a signed label that some cameras and AI tools add to the files they make. We read them on images only, not on videos. When an image carries a trusted label saying it was made by AI, that label decides the result. A missing label never means an image is human-made: most images have none, and labels are easy to remove, so our detection model checks every image as well.
Subscription & Billing
We offer several plans to fit different needs:
- Starter: Our most affordable paid plan, great for light regular use
- Basic: Ideal for individual users with moderate usage
- Growth: Perfect for professionals and small teams
- Pro: Designed for high-volume users and businesses
A free plan is also available with 5 credits a month (no credit card required), plus 3 checks with no signup at all. View our pricing page for detailed plan comparisons.
Each plan gives you credits every month, and an image check uses 1 credit. Unused monthly credits don't roll over: you get a fresh allowance every month. Your monthly credits are used first, then any credits you bought, which last 90 days from purchase. A check that fails costs nothing: the credits come back at once.
The face swap check doubles the price: 2 credits for an image. A video costs 6 credits per started 10 seconds, or 12 with the face swap check.
You can see your credits on the dashboard. If you need more, buy a credit pack or upgrade your plan at any time.
Yes, any time from Plan and billing. Upgrades start right away and you only pay the difference for the rest of the billing period. Downgrades and cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period, so you keep what you paid for until then.
API & Integration
Yes. Every account, free or paid, can create an API key and add image and video checks (with the optional face swap check) to its own apps, websites or workflows. Checks use your credits, the same as on the website. Create and manage your API keys from the account menu, under API keys. See the API documentation.
Create your API keys from the account menu, under API keys. Every account can create one, and checks use your credits. Keep your keys secure and never share them publicly. If a key leaks, revoke it and create a new one.
Privacy & Security
Detection results (score, label, metadata) are stored in your history. If you turn on Save images, your images are kept with your history so you can see them again. Otherwise, images kept to improve our detection models are not linked to your account.
You can request deletion of all your data, including any stored images, by contacting support.
Yes. We use industry-standard security practices including:
- HTTPS encryption for all data transfer
- Secure password hashing
- Regular security audits
- Strict access controls
See our Privacy Policy for more details.
